Dominga Kania 78 of Vineland, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 at the SJ Regional Medical Center. Dominga was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico and was a resident of Vineland for over 40 years. She was best known as Winnie by her many friends in this area.
She was previously employed as a U.S.F.F.I and has been a cashier at the Goodwill in Millville for the past 25 years.
Dominga was predeceased by her ex-husband Phillip Vazquez and became a widow of Joseph J. Kania in 1987, and she was also predeceased by a sister, Luz Guzman.
She is survived by a daughter, Ev Castro , a son, Luis Vasquez, grandsons, Adrian L. Castro, Jay Vasquez and Nicholas Vasquez, granddaughters, Martina L. Vazquez and Hope Vasquez, brothers, Ray Ortiz and John Ortiz, sisters, Jovita Kupioski and Margarita Nelson.
She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 1pm at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Freehold/Englishtown Road, Freehold, NJ. Friends will be received on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
