I was a high school friend of Walt's. We were both members of the MHS Class of 1970. We had a group that shared a lot of great times. We continued to hang out off and on for a year or so out of school but lost touch after I moved out West in 1972.
He was a cool kid, a lot of fun. I remember him as one of the easiest-going guys out there. He always had a hot car. He loved to go fast.
I don't know if he ever told you family members of our trip to Ontario, Canada to the Strawberry Fields Rock Festival in August, 1970. A couple carloads of us from Millville traveled up there. Four of us, including Walt in a VW Bug! 3 days of Great music and memories.
I've thought of him often over the years. Now, I wish I had made an effort to connect. Time gets away from us sometimes. We forget that time waits for no one.
My condolences to the family. He was definitely one of the good guys. RIP Walt.

Out of all the jobs you’ve ever done, I think being a Dad and Pop - Pop were your favorite! Jared and Ashley miss you beyond words.
