Obituary of Andrea Slack

Andrea J. Slack Vineland - Andrea Slack died at the hospital as the result of a heart attack suffered at home in the company of her mother and sister on October 28th, 2020, in Vineland, New Jersey. She was 74. Mrs. Slack was born in Beacon, New York, to Andrew and Shirley Renovitch. She earned her bachelor's degree at Hartwick College and her Masters Degree at Columbia University. Andrea worked as an RN in Atlantic City, NJ. She married Gary Slack with whom she had her daughter Kristi. After Gary's death, she married David Slack and had four more children. Andrea left her nursing career to be a stay at home mom and homeschooled her five children. She was an active member of her church community. Andrea served as church pianist and taught piano lessons to many students over the years. Andrea had a way of mothering everyone who came into her home. Her children picked up many extra siblings over the years. She was Mom Slack to so many. Andrea loved Jesus and always looked for ways to share His love with others. She had a gift for seeing people's needs and finding ways to meet them. She also loved the beach and passed that love on to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Slack is survived by her step daughter and son-in-law Danielle and Vince; children Kristi, Emily,Joy,David,and Charles; sons-in-law John, Christian, and Abraham; daughter-in-law Kate; grandchildren Trinity, Dylan, Caris, Paul, Agape, Ethan, Abraham, Jonathan, Ivan, Esther, Charles, Juliana, Jayna, and Griffin; mother, and sister Jan. She is preceded in death by her father and brother. A combined memorial service for Andrea, her mother, Shirley Renovitch, and sister, Jan renovitch, will be held on April 17, 2021 at 2pm. The service will be held at Malaga Camp Tabernacle in Vineland, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the USO.
