Gary was my boyfriend and best friend. His life was taken too soon. I will look forward to be with him someday. I think about all of our good times together. And pray we be together for eternity. I think of him everyday. What a tragic loss. He was such a wonderful person, caring and thoughtful. I will miss him everyday until we meet again. Love always, Michele

Gary was my boyfriend and best friend for 3 years. I can't believe his family does didn't even mention my name. He was sick and I can't believe he couldn't get help. At least he can finally rest in peace. He was a great caring person. He has been through a lot. Finally he is with the lord. Thank you Jesus. I love you Gary, Michele

I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Gary. I first met Gary some years ago when he performed plumbing work for me in my home. And it was also later that he met his girlfriend Michele at my home when she was visiting with her mother; who is my girlfriend. He was a fine person at heart, and was very respectful of everyone. We will all miss the stories Gary would tell all, of his travels and exploits around the world while he was in the U.S. Navy; from which he was Honorably discharged. Gary was very engaging and would strike up a conversation with complete strangers, finding something in common with everyone. He was very well liked by all. Most of all Gary was a very honest, and dependable person. Recently he and his Girlfriend Michelle found several thousand dollars in a pocket book, along with hundreds of dollars in gift cards, which had been lost by a local woman. They made certain the money and cards were returned to the rightful owner, who in turn gave Gary a small reward. Some others may have kept the money, but not Gary, he insisted the righful owner be notified. Also I remember the night that Gary came to my house and helped me tie down the door canopy/awning, which was about to blow away; while hurracaine Irene was roaring with 80 mph winds. We both were soaked wet and almost blown away; but nonetheless he came out in that storm to help me. Gary was trying to improve his life, and had been attending aviation structural training sponsered by the Veterans Admiminstration in Philadelphia, PA, in an attempt to return to the work he has done while in the U.S. Navy. Gary is now at peace and is no longer suffering from his illness. My sympathies go to the entire Curtis family, who will dearly miss him, and to the love of his life; Michelle, who I am certain will remember the great times they spent together, and the happines they enjoyed. Rest in peace my friend. Harry E. Springfield Jr.

I left a message before it must have been deleted. Gary was a very nice person. Treated everyone with respect. I feel he was a little too friendly but I loved his caring and kind ways. He will be missed. Unfortunately my mother's boyfriend Harry E Springfield passed away. Hopefully they are together in peace. Love and miss you, Michele Gatti
