Obituary of Rita A. Duffy

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Rita Ann (Berry) Duffy, 69 of Millville, after an extended illness at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Rita was born and adopted in Brighton, England. At a young age she came to the United States, Millville, NJ, where she resided until current. She worked for many years at Thriftway in Millville until they closed and then worked as a lottery agent at The Wishing Well in Millville until retirement.

In her younger years Rita was an avid pianist with great talent. Growing up she loved the outdoors, riding dirt bikes, being with friends, and dancing. Rita enjoyed going to the casino, playing pinochle, and nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and family who meant the world to her.

Rita will be sadly missed by her survived husband of 30 years, Daniel Duffy; her son, William Burns (Melani); daughter Tammy Patrick (James); stepchildren Larry Patrick, Jr., Timothy Patrick, Sr. (Kate), Donnabeth Williams, Kimberly Leider (Sam), and Cindy Patrick (TJ); sisters Jackie Daly, and Hazel Fields; grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Kayla, Alexis, Jayna, and Jaxon; step grandchildren Timmy, Christopher, Sammy, Mikey, Megan, Evan, Kelsey, Olivia, and Brady; many great grandchildren with her extended family; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Rita was predeceased by her parents Frank and Lily Berry; her stepmother, Gona Berry; her son Kenneth L. Burns; and brother-in-law Mark Daly.

Rita was a mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend that had a huge heart. Your worries were her worries. She loved the Lord and had great faith in him and always put everyone else's prayers before her own. She will forever be in our hearts, and we know she is always watching over us from above.

Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm. Interment will be held privately.
