Obituary of William S Sutton

William "Bill" Stanley Sutton was born September 20, 1929 and went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the age of 93. Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Stanley and Evelyn (McGhee) Sutton. Bill was blessed to live an active and fulfilling life. As a Boy Scout, a Marine, and longtime lay speaker and lay pastor in the United Methodist Church, he served his community and country with pride. Always active and wanting to try new things, Bill participated in the Sketch Club Players in Woodbury, NJ. As he got older, he continued learning. At 60, he took up violin. Bill began rollerblading at 70 and at 80, he picked up golf. Bill was married 69 years to his childhood sweetheart and best friend, Mildred Price. They had 3 daughters, Barb Lore (Dave) of Mint Hill, NC; Carol Hoffman (Howard) of Havelock, NC; and Debbie Matro (Tom) of Vineland, NJ. His legacy includes 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Spring Oak Assisted Living of Vineland for their tireless love and compassion in caring for Bill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to Spring Oak Assisted Living of Vineland, 1611 S Main Rd. Vineland, NJ 08360. Services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Living Faith Alliance Church 1987 South Lincoln Avenue Vineland, New Jersey 08361. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 5pm, with a Memorial Service to celebrate his life at 5pm, followed by light refreshments. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
