Obituary of Barry Halpin

Barry J. Halpin, 67, of Millville, NJ passed away at his home on Friday, June 16, 2023. Barry was born in 1955 in Vineland, NJ to Robert J. Halpin and Kathryn A. (Malloy) Halpin.

He will be greatly missed by his sisters, Kathleen M. Halpin (Wilmington, DE) and Jerri Ann Trevino (Millville, NJ); his brother, Robert P. Halpin (Henderson, NV); his close friend, Christine Shelton (Cedarville, NJ); bonus sons, Michael Shelton and Mark Shelton; his nephews, Tommy Rossi and Kenny Sugalski; and nieces, Corinne Sugalski, Kelly Trevino, Katie Trevino, and Rebecca Halpin; along with many bonus grandchildren, bonus great grandchildren, great nephews, and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; his stepmother, Peg Halpin; sister, Jeanne Rossi; stepsister, Robin Bertonazzi; bonus son, John Shelton; and nephew, Robert R. Halpin.

Barry was a 1973 graduate of Vineland High School. He received a degree in accounting from Glassboro College, earned his CPA license, worked for the IRS, and was a supervisor for H&R Block up until his retirement.

He had a deep love and a large collection of music and sports memorabilia, specifically a lifelong loyalty to the Boston Celtics and Green Bay Packers.
