Obituary of Mark A. Costin
Mark Antwain Costin age 43, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 4, 2023. Mark was born on November 27, 1979 in Bridgeton, NJ to Barbara Costin and Ralph Morgan. At the early age of 8, Mark and his family moved to New Haven Connecticut where he attended and graduated from the Hamden CT School System.
Mark participated in the little league as a child and was the leading star pitcher who led his team to several championship titles. Mark loved spending time with family creating so many special memories, he was adventurous and loved fishing, swimming and being near the ocean. Mark planted a garden recently and spent countless hours caring for and tending his garden. He, after researching his ancestry was named to the Keowee Tsalagi Tribe.
Mark was a member of the Army National Guard where he served eight years as a combat medic. Mark was employed as a truck driver for Ambrogi Foods in Thorofare NJ at the time of his death. He also worked for Home Depot for several years. Mark worked well with his hands and could fix or put together almost anything.
Mark was predeceased by a sister, Lashay Morgan; maternal grandfather, James Costin Sr.; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Geraldine Morgan.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Barbara Costin Huggins (Roy) of Hamden, CT; father, Ralph Morgan (Diedre) of Vineland, NJ; four children, Jalynne Costin of Boston, Mass, Micai Costin of Manchester CT, Eliel Costin New Haven, CT and
Jocelyn Costin of Laurel Lake, NJ; three brothers, Derek Costin of New Haven, CT, Leneko Huggins of Geneva, NY, Elias Huggins of Hamden, CT; three sisters, Deja Roberts of Hamden, CT, Desiree Morgan of NJ and Mahogany Tyson of Meridian, CT; maternal grandmother, Bobbie Costin of Bridgeton, NJ; fiancé, Melissa Metcalf; three stepchildren, Logan, Riley and Reagan Metcalf all of Vineland, NJ; special cousins, Ellsworth Williams Jr, John Evans Jr, Nicholas Costin, Franklin Holmes and Aaron Costin; special friend, BJ of West Haven, CT and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10am to 11:30am followed by funeral services at 11:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
