Obituary of Ronald L Mattern

NEWFIELD,NJ - Ronald "Ron" L. Mattern, 80, of Newfield, NJ, passed away on October 18, 2023.He was born on January 25, 1943, in Schuylkill County, PA. Ron was a beloved husband to his wife of 51 years, Sandra Mattern.

Ron had a successful career as a car painter at Caliber Collision before his retirement in 2020.He was known for his dedication and skill in his profession.

In his spare time, Ron pursued his passion for drag racing and achieved great success. He was crowned the Top Sportsmen Points Champ at Atco Drag Way in 2018. Ron's love for the sport brought him joy and unforgettable memories.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sandra Mattern,along with his brothers Gene Mattern and his partner Mary, Ernie Mattern and his wife Cindy,and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Thomas and Roseanne Monfardini. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Ron cherished his close friendship with the Yacovelli family and Ken Panzino.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Paul Mattern and Mark Mattern.
