Obituary of Martha Ann Capella
Martha Ann (Marcie) Capella (nee Craig), 77 current resident of Orlando, Florida formerly of Vineland, New Jersey passed away on November 10th, 2023 in Vineland, New Jersey.
Marcie was born in Athens, Georgia to Robert and Maryjane Craig, born on October 15th, 1946. She graduated high school from Sacred Heart in 1964. She went on to earn a certificate in cosmetology from Vineland Beauty Academy. She worked as a beautician for over 50 years at various locations, owning her own salon in Sewell, New Jersey called "The Hair Club". She enjoyed shopping, traveling, the beach, listening to her "iheart golden oldies" music, but most of all enjoying time with her family.
Marcie was a prominent member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Turnersville, New Jersey for 41 years where she made many lifelong friendships through Wednesday morning prayer groups, which she enjoyed hosting. She also enjoyed teaching CCD along with her husband Frank for several years. Marcie was known for her generosity to the community, but most importantly to her family and friends. For the past 10 years, Marcie was enjoying the sunshine state playing shuffleboard and spending time with friends. She was a kind and loving soul who always wanted to give to others rather than receive.
Marcie is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Frank of Orlando, Florida; her loving children, Kelly Celebre (Jeff), Kathleen "Kathi" Capella; siblings, Jeanette Ashley (John, predeceased), Nola "Jane" Marino (Frank, predeceased), Kathleen "Kathy" Jost (Bob); grandchildren, Annette Josephine "AJ" DeLuca (Jerry), Samuel "Sammy" Celebre, Rocco Celebre, Franceska "Franki" Celebre; many loving nieces and nephews; cousins, extended family and friends.
Marcie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maryjane Craig; her in-laws, Frank and Louise Capella. She is also predeceased by her sister, June Bauman (Gene).
A visitation will be held at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ 08361 on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for friends and family, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. with Father Robert Sinatra of Saints Padre Pio Parish officiating. Final disposition will be at the convenience of the family.
