Obituary of Jose Anibal Martinez

Jose Anibal Martinez, 58, of Millville, New Jersey, went to dwell in the house of the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

Jose was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico on September 22, 1965, to Luz Nereida Garcia and Luis Angel Martinez. Jose and his family moved from Puerto Rico to Connecticut and after a few years they moved to Vineland, NJ. He attended Vineland High School and entered the Army National Guard. He worked for Outdoor World, various landscaping companies, and at Giordano's Metal Scrapping.

Jose loved to exercise, ride his scooter, listen to music (especially Salsa), loved to decorate his home, helping others, and spending time with his siblings and family.

Jose is predeceased by his parents: Luz N. Garcia and Luis A. Martinez. His brothers: Luis Angel Martinez, Luis Carlos Martinez, Hector Luis Martinez, and Oscar David Martinez. His niece/little sister: Victoria Lynn Martinez. He is survived by his children: Jose Anibal Martinez Jr. and Brenda Lee Martinez and several grandchildren. His siblings: Carmen S. Martinez of Vineland, Edwin R. Martinez of Vineland, Wilfredo Martinez (Carmen) of Vineland, Elizabeth Martinez Cintron of Puerto Rico, Raymond Martinez Cintron of New York, Luz N. Coursey (Lorenzo) of Vineland, Danny Martinez Cintron of New York, two maternal uncles: Carmelo Garcia (Judith) and Julio Garcia (Rebecca), several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Monday June 3, 2024 followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm, at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2577 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ 08361. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Rd., Vineland, NJ 08360.
