Obituary of Alejandrina Rodriguez

Alejandrina "Ali" Rodriguez, 76, of Utuado, Puerto Rico, passed away on June 11, 2024, in Vineland, New Jersey.

Born on March 5, 1948, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Alejandrina was the daughter of Ines Montalvo and Felix Pagan. She initially worked in a clothing factory but chose to dedicate her life to being a homemaker after her children were born. Over the years, she also provided childcare to many other children, bringing her immense joy as she became a second mother to them.

She had a heart of gold and would go out of her way to help anyone and everyone that needed it. She was selfless and never wanted or expected anything in return. She helped others out of the goodness of her heart and because it was the right thing to do. She always saw the good in people and believed everyone deserved to experience love in one way or another. She accepted everyone as they were, with open arms and a welcoming smile.

Alejandrina was a devout member of Divine Mercy Parish and maintained a strong connection to her faith, reading the Bible daily. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and taking long drives to explore new places. She also had a passion for trying new foods at various restaurants, though nothing brought her more happiness than cooking for her loved ones. Her culinary skills were legendary, making family gatherings and holidays eagerly anticipated events. Alejandrina was profoundly proud of her Puerto Rican heritage, cherishing its beauty and culture with all her heart.

Alejandrina is survived by her husband, Anibal Rodriguez; her sons, Anibal Rodriguez Jr. and Omar Rodriguez-Pagán; her brother, Felix Manuel Pagan; her sister, Betzaida Pagan; her grandchildren, Jaiden Alexander Rodriguez, Amir Rodriguez, Adriel Rodriguez, Aniyah Diaz, Adrion Diaz, Amaure Diaz; and her great-grandchild, Milo Alexander

A viewing will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am on Monday June 17, 2024 followed by funeral services at 11:30am officiated by Msgr. Victor Muro of Divine Mercy Parish. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland, New Jersey.
