Obituary of Gonzalo Velez

Gonzalo Velez, 94, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home in Vineland, NJ.

Gonzalo was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Victoriano Velez and Margarita Gonzalez on January 25, 1930. He worked at Vineland Kosher Poultry for 17 years amongst other places. He enjoyed making "Maquinas de Pasteles", mechanical work, carpentry, visiting the Casinos, watching Western Movies and spending time with his family.

Gonzalo is survived by his spouse Marianita Velez, children Jose (Dorcas), Elvis (Nancy) and Maribel. He is also survived by five grandchildren Brandon, Kandice, Elvis Jr., Nathaniel and Natalyn. In addition, he is also survived by four great grandchildren Caleb David, Nathaniel Roman Lee, Jeremiah Noah and Miah Deborah with two more on the way.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm followed by funeral service will be held at 2:00pm. at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private.
