Q: How did you meet Dolores?
A: Mrs. Howell knew of me as Mimi’s friend, and fellow wild child during our school days. We often skipped school together. It wasn’t until I was 19 and walking home from cosmetology school when she stopped and offered me a ride
She thought I was a nursing student because I was wearing a white uniform. We became life long friends.
She was so kind to me that I thought of her as my second mom. Often she provided a place to stay when my home situation was not good. After I moved to South Carolina, Dolores often wrote me letters , which continued for many years.
Mrs . Howell’s greatest strengths was her consistency , I always knew she treasured our friendship and that she was there for me. She was a great mom, not just to her family but to me as well. She brought all of us together and I will miss her very much. She loved me like a daughter
May God bless you a d your family.
Love,
