Obituary of Kayla Alexa Barreto

Kayla Alexa Barreto known by friends as Kay, was 24 years old when God called her name. Kayla lived in Vineland, New Jersey and passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Kayla Alexa Barreto was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Angela M Ortiz Roman on February 11, 2000. She went to Vineland High School and graduated in 2018. She worked as a teacher's aide at Anthony Rossi Elementary School. Kayla loved dearly all the children that over the years crossed her path in the education system. She enjoyed traveling the world.

Kayla is survived by her mom, Angela M Ortiz Roman; step dad, Jose A Barreto Lugo of Vineland; her sisters, Ashley Barreto, Nydia Barreto, and Alexus Barreto; maternal grandparents, Sonia Roman Roman and Ramon Morales; paternal grandparents, Alicia Borges and Miguel Medina; maternal great grandmother, Maria Roman Roman; maternal aunt and uncles, Sonia Roman, Raymond Morales, and Royland Morales; paternal aunt and uncle, Cindy Barreto, Lazaro Barreto, and Kadae Barreto ; god parents, Mirty and Jose Ocasio; god sister, Jennifer Ocasio and Jose Ocasio Jr., girlfriend, Onahya McKinney and too many cousins and loved ones that have crossed her path over the years.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all family and friends who have joined the family in prayer.

Family and friends will be received on Friday evening, August 23, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm and again on Saturday morning, August 24, 2024 from 11am to 12pm followed by funeral services at 12pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, with Pastor Marta Marrero and Pastor Jannette Vazquez. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
