Miguel is survived by his son, William Rivera and foster daughter, Natalie Malave, brothers; Heraclio (Carmen) Rivera, Hector (Cherie-Fischer-Rivera) and Richard Carlson, sisters: Candy (Pablo) Rodriguez, and Maxine (Peter) Mojica along with countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife; Amy Rivera, brothers; Ramon Rivera Jr, and Carlos Rivera and his parents Ramon and Hermina Rivera.

Michael was born in Vineland, NJ on October 11, 1963, to Ramon and Herminia Rivera. He spent most of his life in NJ where he met the love of his life, Amy. Michael and Amy loved to be active in the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Bridgeton, NJ. Michael then was transferred to North Carolina for work where he resided for many years. 6 years ago, he returned to his hometown where he lived his final days.

He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan. From the Eagles to the Phillies, 76'ers and Flyers. He also loved college football. Miguel drove school buses for the last 3 years and enjoyed every minute of it. He made sure all his kids that rode his bus felt safe and also enjoyed their time on the bus. He showed this by always decorating his bus and giving his riders treats. He loved everyone he ever came in contact with.

Funeral services will be held by DeMarco- Luisi Funeral Home Vineland, NJ privately, in lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer society in Miguel's honor.
