Obituary of Angela Caez-Velez

Angela (Caez) Velez 93 of Vineland passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Born to Francisco Caez & Calixta (Caez) Velez on October 1, 1930. Angela was raised in San Lorenzo Jagual, Puerto Rico. In 1956 Angela moved to New York City to live with family. She then moved to Vineland in 1958 and started her family. She was a longtime member of The Divine Mercy Parish Church and was very active in the Catholic faith while living in the area. She enjoyed reading, helping others and church gatherings. Angela worked at many clothing factories, finally settling at the Vineland Developmental Center where she worked for over 20 years as a Human Services Employee retiring in 1993.

Her favorite saying was "I Love you, but Jesus loves you more".

Angela is survived by two children daughter Nancy Galarza and husband Celestino Morales Colon and Liborio Galarza both of Vineland, she was also blessed with a bonus son Angelo Galarza; two brothers Felipe Caez of Jagual, Puerto Rico and Maximino Caez of Mays Landing, New Jersey; two grandchildren Eric & Bryan Galarza of Galveston, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Mass in her honor will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday August 27, 2024 at the Divine Mercy Parish Church, located at 23 W. Chestnut Avenue Vineland, NJ. Family and friends will be received prior to the Mass from 10:00am to 10:45am. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Rd. Vineland, NJ 08360.
