Obituary of Adela Torres

Adela Torres, 79, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024.

She was born in Anasco, PR on April 13,1945 and later relocated to Newark, NJ at an early age. Adela then married the love of her life, Peter J. Torres, in Newark, NJ where she raised five children.

Adela loved to cook, knit and was a very accomplished jokester. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Adela is predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Peter J. Torres; eldest son, Pedro "Eddie" and her daughter-in-law, Cleophas Lynn Torres.

She is survived by her children; Rosa (Paul), Kafiel (Jasmin), John, Adelita, Kalel (Keisha) and her nephew, Enrique (Maria) as well as 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. We will miss her smile, laughter and love.

Relatives and friends will be received on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 South Lincoln Avenue Vineland, NJ. Burial will take place at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery 109 NJ-50, Mays Landing, NJ 08330.
