Jose Luis Paz, AKA "Joey", 62, of Vineland, NJ.

Born to Jose Paz and Maria Rios-Duprey of Vineland. Joey graduated from Vineland High School where he was on the wrestling team. He then went on to join the United States Army. Joey worked as a patient transporter for 10 years at Newcomb Hospital in the early 80's. He also worked in several Atlantic City casinos as a security guard. Joey then worked for the Vineland Board of Education for 10 years as a security guard where he received several acknowledgements for his dedication to the JTPA summer youth program. He was a huge influence to many students that went through the school system. Lastly, he worked at Crown Clothing in Vineland for 19 years as a presser.
Joey had a passion for sports. He loved to watch boxing and was a diehard Steelers fan. He also enjoyed reading, seeing his lifelong friends and spending time with his son.
Joey is predeceased by his parents, Jose and Maria Paz.
He is survived by his only son, Jose Paz Jr., grandchildren; Alexander Luis Paz, Ariel Virginia Paz, Jose Hector Paz and Noralize Maria Medero who he adored. Joey is also survived by his lifelong friends, Blanca Diaz, Manny Resto "Papo Conga", Jose Rosario "Junebug", Alfredo Rios "Curley", Angel "Baby Face Finnster" and Hector Figueroa.
