Jean Ann Carrion 69 of Vineland New Jersey passed away on October 14, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center. A service in her honor will be held at Jesus Is Your Salvation Church 503 N. Valley Avenue Vineland New Jersey on Saturday November 23, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Nelson Rosa officiating.

Born in Paterson, New Jersey to Frances and Frank Taylor on September 10, 1955. She is the eldest of six children. After graduating from Passaic County Technical and Vocational High School Jean furthered her education by earning an Associate of Science Degree in Liberal Arts from Passaic County Community College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from William Paterson College and a Master Degree in Human Services from Almeda University.

Jean was fluent in speaking both English and Spanish. It was her life ambition and goal to help others – especially those who could not communicate as a result of a language barrier. She dedicated her entire life to helping people.

Moving to Vineland in 1991 with her husband Jose Carrion and son Daniel, Jean became the caregiver to six additional children. It was through her kind heart, perseverance, and hard work that she obtained the jobs and positions she held and the certifications and credentials she earned.

She was a certified Social Worker – certified in Domestic Violence, Leadership Training, certified in Sexual Assault, a certified Housing Counselor, Tax Preparation, and a Notary Public.

Over the course of her life Jean held the job position of Director of Senior Outreach & Emergency Services for Catholic Family & Community Service – Paterson; Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer for CASA P.R.AC. Inc.; Deputy Director of PASA (People Acting to Stop Abuse Inc); Paralegal for South Jersey Legal Services; Parole Case Manager for Kintock Group; Vineland Board of Education; Deputy CEO of Vineland African American Community Development Corporation; NJ Youth Corps Coordinator; Consultant to many organizations; and Office Manager for Metropolitan Multi-Cultural Center.

Jean is survived by her brothers, Frank Stevan and Bill; her sister Lesa; 3 grandchildren, Danita, Stephanie and Danielle; 4 great grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her parents, Frances and Frank; her son, Daniel; and her brother Chris.

She was an exceptional and one of kind person.
