Obituary of Frank R. Motter Sr.

Francis Richard Motter, age 72, of Landisville, NJ, passed away on December 18th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. Frank was born on December 16th, 1952, in Mantua, NJ, to Jacob and Frances Motter.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Frank grew up in Mantua alongside his sister, Kathy, and brother, Jake. Frank worked as a mechanic at Ralph's Transmission, where his dedication to his craft was matched only by his kindness and humility. Later in life, he became a beloved and respected volunteer firefighter at the Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Co. for over 15 years. Frank's selflessness and deep commitment to helping others were exemplified by his service, where he continually put the needs of others before his own.

Frank was the epitome of a "jack-of-all-trades." Whether he was working, camping, cruising the open road on his motorcycle, cracking a joke to make everyone laugh, or hunting down the nearest all-you-can-eat buffet, he found joy in every moment and took pride in living life to the fullest. He was a man of action and unwavering resolve—there was no problem too big for Frank to tackle, and no favor too great for him to offer. His generosity was limitless.

Frank's love for his family was immeasurable. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Angela Motter; his children and stepchildren, Francis R. Motter Jr., William J. Motter, Frances Salvatore, and Cherie Figueroa (Jerry); his cherished grandchildren, Natalia Smith (Jonah Middleton), James Smith, Asiya Concepcion, Efrain Dejesus, Michael Starn, and Justin Mainero; his great grandchildren Carlina Starn, and GiGi Starn, and a large extended family and circle of friends who will miss him dearly.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00pm until 3:00pm followed by a service at 3:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. Burial will be private.

Francis R. Motter was a remarkable man whose legacy of love, generosity, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will never be forgotten.
