Obituary of Maryann Huber
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maryann Rosalie Huber (nee Lucas) born to the late John and Rosalie (Cerankowski) Lucas. Maryann departed this world on January 17, 2025.
Born on December 15, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, Maryann lived a life filled with love, adventure, and a passion for family and hobbies. Maryann graduated with a degree in nursing in 1992 and went on to work at Elmer Hospital as a nurse, where she dedicated herself to caring for patients with compassion. Her nursing knowledge later allowed her to lovingly care for husband Ray prior to his passing, a testament to her devotion and strength.
Maryann loved riding the Harley-Davidson and train collecting with Ray. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting baby clothes and blankets. She was a talented musician who delighted in singing, playing the piano and bringing out the accordion to share music with her family and friends. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, filling her home with laughter, love and warmth.
Maryann is survived by daughter, Michelle (Howard "Herk") Kazan, and sons, Eric Wurtzel, Scott (Nicole) Huber, and Tom (Angie) Huber; grandchildren, Kyle Wurtzel, Abby (Tom) Abbot, Alissa (William "Billy" Andrews) Kazan, Jason Wurtzel, Maryann (Chris) Sowers, Eric Wurtzel Jr., and Alexandra "Lexi" Kazan; great grandchildren, Annamarie, Paxton and Connor Abbot, Lyla and Ryan Huber, Elena Sowers, and Tyler, Niklaus and Jacob Huber; and sisters Arlene (Aldo "Mickey") Mazzoni and Judi (Tony "Ange") Mascara. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Huber, brother Paul Lucas, parents John and Rosalie Lucas, nephew Michael Mascara, and sister Mary Lucas.
Maryann's life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home , 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. A viewing will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am, followed by a service at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest with her husband Ray at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Bridgeton, NJ. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and honor a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
