John J. Dutra, 83 of Vineland, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at his late residence. Born in Vintondale, Pa., he was a resident of Vineland for over 70 years and a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1949.
John was the founder of Dutra Sheet Metal Company in Vineland in 1956 and retired in 1991. He also owned and operated Vineland Sports Center for over ten years.
He enjoyed wood carving, gardening, making furniture and custom cabinets. He also was an artist who enjoyed painting and figurines. He built three homes in Vineland and two condos in Wildwood, NJ. Most of all he enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, D'Lee and Ursula (Fissu).
John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances (Maniscalco) Dutra of Vineland

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7th at 11am at St. Mary's Church, East Vineland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, and again on Saturday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am ALL OUT OF THE CHURCH.
