Obituary of Robert B. Robinson

Robert B. Robinson, 79 of Vineland, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Born in Lakeland, Georgia, he enlisted in the Airforce at the age of 17. He served our country in the Korean War and after his honorable discharge, Robert became passionate about cars. He went on to train as an auto mechanic for Volkswagen for the next 25 years. After retiring as an auto mechanic, Robert started his own medical transportation business. During his downtime, he enjoyed fishing, socializing and cooking while listening to the Blues. He is predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Florence (Calvin) Robinson, daughter, Melinda Kirkland, grandson, Amann Sheffield and siblings, Alscine Brooks, Odel Robinson, Daisy Thomas, Calvin Robinson, Alene Miller, Shelton Robinson and Edward Robinson. He is survived by his partner and wife of 48 years, Barbara (Jackson) Robinson His children: James Daniel, Calvin Daniel, Phyllis Davis, Shakira Pena and Saneeta Hunt His brother: Frederick Robinson His sisters: Leonys Owens and Pauline Cook 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12:30pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Thursday morning from 12pm to 12:30pm at the funeral home.
