Obituary of Helen Mish

Helen (Rodevick) Mish 72 of Vineland, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 at home and surrounded by her family. Born in New York City, NY, she was a graduate of Courtland University, New York. She was a teacher who taught in Long Island, New York prior to moving to Vineland in the 1970's. While in Vineland, she taught at St. Mary's School in East Vineland and Maria Durand School in Vineland. Helen loved teaching and interacting with the many students and educators over the years and retired after 38 years of teaching. Helen had a special culinary gift creating many special meals and desserts. She had a green thumb with flowers and plants in her middle age years. Helen loved getting dressed with her hats and going to church at St. Mary'€™s Church and then to Our Lady of Pompeii Church. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph Mish Her son: Joseph Mish, Jr. 3 brothers: Michael Rodevick and wife Verna Ted Rodevick and wife Geri John Rodevick 3 sisters: Teri Hubert and husband Ed Susan Stafford Kathryn Sunshine and husband Michael Brother-in-law: Charles Mish and wife Andrea Sister-in-law: Jean Thoms and husband Jim 16 nieces and nephews A funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11am at Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Ave., Vineland. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary'€™s Cemetery, East Vineland. Friends will be received on Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30am to 10:45am at THE CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 150 Ninth Avenue, Runnemede, NJ 08078 or to Padre Pio Parish.
