Kay F. Carlson Santora, 70 of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, December 12, 2013 at home and surrounded by her family. Born in Duluth, Minnesota, she had moved to the Vineland area in 1970.
Kay was the office manager for a medical office in Vineland for many years and prior to that, she was an insurance underwriter.
Kay enjoyed cooking, sewing and working outside on her lawn and flowers. She was an avid golfer and Eagles and Phillies fan. She cherished her one and only granddaughter, Megan.
She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary (Kopla) Plys and her first husband, Kenneth Carlson.
Kay is survived by her husband of 25 years, Joseph Santora of Vineland
1 son: John Carlson and wife Jeannine of Pa.
1 daughter: Mary Kay Shanaman and husband Robert of Vineland
1 granddaughter: Megan Shanaman of Vineland
1 brother: Richard Plys of Minnesota
2 sisters: Carol Krause of Minnesota

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening at 7pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society P.O. Box 4072 Pittsfield, MA. 01202.
