Anderson Serrano-Torres "Alex" 61 of Vineland died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his home in Vineland. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he came to the United States in 1970.
He was a farm worker for over 30 years at Castellini Farms and other local farms. Alex was a hardworking good man who loved to read the bible, gardening, cooking, solving word search puzzles and finding real estate and cars wholesale to invest in. He loved helping people and was kind and had a giving heart.
Anderson is survived by 4 step-children; Javier Vargas, Angel Vargas, Sofia Vargas and Michael Vargas, his daughter; Nilsa Serrano and spouse Paula Acevedo, all from Vineland. He is also survived by 3 sisters; Anamelia Serrano, Margarita Serrano and Maria Teresa Serrano, 2 brothers; Ovidio Serrano and Luis Serrano, sister-in-law; Liz Serrano from Chicago, Illinois. He left behind many grandchildren and family. We love you and will never forget you. We will see you in the resurrection based on the ransom sacrifice of Christ Jesus.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland from 4pm to 6pm. Burial will take place in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.
