Obituary of Katharine M. Belmont

Katharine M. Belmont, 89 of Vineland, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Born in Vineland, she was a lifelong area resident and attended Vineland Public Schools. She was employed by Schwarzman Department Store as a sales clerk and later for the New York Inn. Katharine enjoyed going to the casinos, playing bingo, gardening and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of The Memorial Presbyterian Church, Vineland. She is predeceased by her husband, Pete J. Belmont, her son, Thomas Belmont and granddaughter, Tara Belmont. Survived by: 3 daughters: Margaret "Margie" Paterno and husband David of Vineland Barbara "Bobbi" Cervini and husband Thomas of Vineland Katharine "Kathy" Ballinger and husband Jorge of Vineland Daughter-in-law: Terry Aberle of Vineland 7 grandchildren: Thomas Cervini, Jr (Aimee) Stefanie Cervini, Marnie Hendershott (John) Deanne Dounoulis (Nick), Elliot and Wayatt Ballinger, Tory Aberle 8 great grandchildren 2 brothers: Edward Schiapelli of California Peter Schiapelli of Florida 3 sisters: Gloria Simonetta of Arizona Ermagene Schiapelli of Vineland Carolyn Brode of Vineland Many nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Katharine will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Thursday morning from 10am to 11am at the funeral home.
