Obituary of Ronald R. Ruberti

Ronald "Ron" Ruberti, 77 of Vineland, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Bishop McCarthy Residence, Vineland. He was born in Vineland and a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1955. Ron played 4 years of Football and Basketball and 2 years of baseball. He was in the National Guard and was employed by New Jersey Bell Telephone for 38 years. Ron also worked for Winslows Pharmacy and The Flower Shoppe both of Vineland and Walt Disney World in Florida. He was a member of the Jaycees, Lions Club - King Lion, Quinton Sportsman Club and Cedar Tree Hunt Club in Virginia. He played for Bellco Glass City League Softball and the New Jersey Bell Bowling League and was a New Jersey Bell Pioneer. Ron can most be remembered as a loving Husband to Rosalie for 58 years, who lived his life to the fullest and made many friends along the way. His love for his family was seen in his smile especially when he spoke of his four grandchildren. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter throughout his life. He spent many hunting seasons in Virginia with his Son in Law and Grandson. In his later years he spent winters in Florida making new friends and wonderful memories. His High School yearbook quote read "Fun was made for guys like me, on gridiron, court or society" Life is not about worrying if it's the last time you will see someone, it's all about making memories. This is how Ron will be remembered. He is predeceased by his brother, Rudy R Ruberti and his parents, Mario Ruberti and Catherine (Travaglione) Ruberti. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie (Peretti) Ruberti son, Robin R Ruberti and wife, Charlene Daley Ruberti daughter, Renee' Ruberti Davis and husband, Doug Davis grandchildren, Jennifer Ruberti, Anthony Ruberti , Jamie Davis and Hunter Davis Sister - Kathleen Yeager A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 11am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church, Vineland. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received on Sunday at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland from 6pm to 8pm and again on Monday at the church from 10:30am to 11am.
