Obituary of Marilyn Roman

Marilyn Roman of Vineland, NJ, 48- was born August 7, 1966 in Hoboken, NJ to Olga Iris Collazo-Mercado and the late Eliades Roman. She went home to meet her savior on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at Cooper Hospital, Camden, NJ. Marilyn graduated from Vineland High School in 1986 and went on to further her education at Cumberland County Community College for Social Work. She was employed by Elwyn of Vineland, NJ at Vineland Developmental Center as a lead Community Support Counselor for 13 years until her health failed her. Marilyn was a dedicated employee because she truly loved what she did. She lived her whole life for her children whom she loved dearly. The word NO was not in her vocabulary. Marilyn love most, hated none, and cared for everyone and expected nothing in return. She always had a snappy comeback and jokes to make you laugh even when you didn't want to. She was predeceased by her father Eliades Roman, maternal grandmother Isabel Zambrana, paternal grandparents Enriqueta Velez, Angel Roman and Aunt Gisela Collazo-Zambrana. Marilyn leaves behind to cherish her fond memories, a son Joey, two daughters, Ashley, Desiree (Edgar) Acosta all of Vineland, NJ. A brother Hector Felix Jr., Egg Harbor Township, NJ, two sisters Gisela , Egg Harbor Township and Martina, Deltona, FL. A special companion Randy Ferguson and her dog Dallas. Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Minotola Fire House, 255 E. Wheat Rd., Minotola, NJ.
