Obituary of Gladys M. Williams

Gladys M. Williams, 92, of Vineland passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, Gladys had worked as a seamstress for Levin Clothing Company and Chinnici Clothing Company both of Vineland for many years. She enjoyed cooking and was a loving and caring person who was always ready and willing to help someone. She loved and was loved by her church family and was the founder of the Cedar Avenue Baptist Fellowship in Richland, where she ministered and worshiped. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Estelle (Cox) Russell, her first husband, Dowell J. Winfield, her second husband, Howard Williams, three sons; C. D. Winfield, Andrew Winfield, and Anthony Williams, and a brother, Q. L. Russell. She is survived by her children; James (Gloria) Winfield, Wanda (James) Esposito, Norris (Denise) Winfield, and Donald (Tammy) Williams, her sister, Melba Birchfield, two daughters-in-law; Joyce Winfield and Erma Winfield, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Gladys will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday morning from 9:00am to 11:00am at the funeral home.
