Obituary of Joseph A. Lamanteer

Joseph A. Lamanteer, Sr., age 71 of Buena Vista Township, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 with family by his side. Joseph graduated from Vineland High School Class of 1961. He retired from the I.B.E.W. Local 351 in 1997 after 35 years of service. During retirement, Joseph being an avid golfer, spent many happy days on the golf course with family and friends. When not on the golf course Joe could be found in the kitchen preparing his favorite meals. Joe loved life and family to the fullest. Some of his greatest joys came from being, "Pop-Pop". He will be sadly, missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Angela (D'Amico), sons; Joseph A. Lamanteer, Jr. (Jean) and John D. Lamanteer (Jennifer), daughter; Melanie E. Lamanteer, Grandchildren; Jianna, Danielle, John, Victoria and Anthony. He is also survived by brother; John Lamanteer (Joyce) and sister; Carmella Marone (Frank) and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday evening at 7:45pm at Demarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing will be private.
