Obituary of Maria I Rivera

Maria I. Rivera, 75 of Vineland died Monday July 23 at SJ Regional Hospice Center in Bridgeton. She was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico and moved to the United States in 1955. She was employed as a Nurse's Aide at the Vineland Developmental Center for over 25 years. She enjoyed shopping, going to the shore, especially the boardwalk, playing softball for the Vineland Developmental team. But most of all, she was a loving and caring person who enjoyed taking care of people and the disabled. She is predeceased by one brother Rafael Rodriquez. Survived by her husband of 41 years Roberto Gomez of Vineland. Three daughters, Zoraida Vazquez of Vineland and Anna Gonzales of Sicklerville and Nilsa Feliciano of PR. Son/Grandson Michael Rivera of Sicklerville. One stepson Roberto Gomez Jr. of Fla. One stepdaughter Norma Gomez of NJ. She is survived by two brothers, Genaro Rodriquez of Chicago and Francisco Vazquez of New York. One sister, Antonia Rivera Flores of Chicago. 8 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren 1 great great-grandchild Funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, July 28 at 10 am at the Divine Mercy Parish. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday evening from 6 - 8pm at DeMarco - Luisi Funeral Home and again Saturday morning 8:30 am to 9:45 am at the CHURCH.
