Obituary of Joseph P. Grabowy

Joseph Paul Grabowy, 68, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2016 with his family by his side at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Joseph was born January 26, 1947, in Newark, NJ. He was the son of Paul and Margaret (Carraher) Grabowy. Joseph graduated from Essex Catholic High School in 1964. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Montclair State College. Joseph married Sally Ann Cole, on January 2, 1971, then shortly after moved to Vineland, NJ. He worked as a systems analyst for most of his career. Joseph enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with his family. He was an active member of Christ the Good Shepard Parish and volunteered at Inspira Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sally; children, Matthew, Michael, Jessica, Marissa (Amir), and Kaitlyn Grabowy; grandchildren, Joseph, Kayliegh, Malachi, Ava, and Lily; his beloved animals, Mimi, Freedom, and Molly; sister, Patricia (Frank) Barone; aunt, Eileen Zachariah; his brothers-in-law, Jerry (Carol) Cole and Alan Cole and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd., Vineland. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6pm-8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, and on Thursday morning at the church from 9:30am to 10:45am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the Good Shepherd Parish or the Cumberland Co.
