Obituary of Susan M. Cairone

Susan Marie (Grasso) Cairone, age 62, of Franklinville, NJ passed away on April 1, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on January 16, 1954 in Vineland, NJ. She graduated from Vineland High School in 1973 and got married and moved to Franklinville, NJ that same year. Susan was a medical receptionist at Newcomb Hospital, Vineland Medical Associates, and the Eye Institute of South Jersey. Above all, she was a wonderful and loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends and doing activities such as baking, cooking, crafts, playing bingo, ladies day at the casino, going to the beach, walking the boardwalk, having picnics, tea parties, and laughing. Susan was also a supportive sports/theatre grandmom and a dance and cheer mom for many years. She was also a tireless Delsea Crusader Fan. Susan is survived by her husband, Louis A. Cairone, Jr. of Franklinville, NJ, her two daughters; Stephanie Starr and Melissa Pilitowski, two loving sons-in-law; Chuck Starr and Frank Pilitowski, and six grandchildren; Paige, Chuckie, Georgie, Blake, Frankie, and Annabelle. She is also survived by her in-laws, Louis Sr. and June Cairone of Malaga, sisters; Peachie (Ken) Morris, Joann Gray, Carol (Joe) Ciccio, Kathy (Dr. Peter) Federici, Andrea Whipkey, Mary (Bob) Foster, Joanne (John) White, Mary Beth (Wayne) Biagi and Diane (Jino) Pioppi; brothers, Alfie Grasso Sr., John Grasso Jr., Joey (Myrna) Licari, Frank (Cynthia) Cairone. Susan is also survived by aunts, uncles, and a group of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, John Grasso Sr. and Anna Ritondaro Licari and Georgianna and Dominick Maccri and her beloved brother-in-law, Lee Morris Sr. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday evening from 6-9PM at DeMarco Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ and on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:45 AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael's Church in Minotola. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11AM.
