Obituary of Petro F. DiBiase

Petro F. "Peter" DiBiase, 87 of Vineland, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at home, surrounded by his family. Peter was born in Vineland and was a lifelong resident. He was a farmer at the DiBiase Farm and Canning House and worked at the Vineland Water and Sewer Department 9 years. He also worked as a carpenter and Parcel Post as an independent contractor. Peter was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Army with the rank of Corporal in the Third Infantry Division, where he received the Distinguished Service Medal. He was a member of the VFW and Korean War Vets 9112 and was instrumental in creating the Korean War Memorial in Landis Park in Vineland and supporting the Vets at the Vineland Soldiers Home. Peter was a Volunteer Fireman at Company 4 in Vineland for 20 years. He loved his dogs especially Katie, his model fire trucks, and his collection of guns. He also enjoyed hunting. He is predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Jennie DiBiase; brothers, Michael DiBiase and Vincent DiBiase and sister, Marie Spatola. Peter is survived by his wife, Catherine L. (Betty) DiBiase of Vineland NJ; his son, Peter V. DiBiase of Woodstown NJ; daughter, Linda J. DiBiase of Vineland NJ, daughter-in-law, Sheryl A. DiBiase of Woodstown NJ; granddaughter, Meaghan A. DiBiase of Madison NJ and 9 nieces and nephews. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael's Church, Minotola. Peter will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Thursday morning from 9am to 9:45am at the CHURCH.
