Obituary of Diego Arocho - Santiago

Diego Arocho Santiago, 83 of Vineland passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, he lived in Vineland for the past 70 years. In his earlier years, Diego was a farm laborer and owned his own business, Didos Inn in Egg Harbor, NJ. He was employed by Casa Di Bertacchi as a food processor. Diego was a loving and caring father, grandfather and family man. He loved raising his animals and was an old car enthusiast. He is predeceased by his wife, Luz Maria (Rivera); 2 brothers, Maxamino and Christino Arocho; 2 sisters, Virginia and Margarita Arocho. Diego is survived by 2 step-sons that he raised; Orlando Maldonado of Atlantic City and Julio Cubano of Florida; his niece with whom he resided with, Beatriz Bermudez and husband David of Vineland; many nieces and nephews; sister, Andrea Guzman; 1 sister-in-law, Eugenia Aguino of Landisville. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Francis of Assisi Church, Vineland. Diego will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Saturday morning from 9am to 9:45am at the CHURCH.
