Jon Scalzi, 66 of Vineland, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bronx, New York, he had moved to Vineland in 1954.
Jon was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army. He was a retired truck driver for Bayside Prison and also owned Jon's Moving and Hauling Co., in Vineland for over 20 years.
He enjoyed restoring antique cars and especially enjoyed cooking Italian foods.
Jon is predeceased by his parents, George and Lolita (De Lybovi) Scalzi, 5 brothers, Jack, Anthony, Armand, Dennis and Mark Scalzi and 2 sisters, Patricia and Carmellina Scalzi.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Stacy (Thomas) Scalzi of Vineland
1 son: Brandon Afanador and wife Annamarie of Vineland
2 granddaughters: Ciena and Abigale Afanador
2 brothers: George, Jr., and Timothy Scalzi both of Florida
2 sisters: Monica and Michelle Scalzi both of Florida

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 8th at 4pm at the Chestnut Assembly of God Church, 2554 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland, NJ. Burial will private. A gathering of friends will be held on Saturday at the church from 2pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
