Obituary of Hector L. Vega

Hector Luis Vega, born March 28, 1949 in Utuado, PR, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 1, 2016. He was a long time resident of Vineland, NJ. Hector was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed playing his guitar in the church choir band, and different parties and events throughout the area. He was a long time member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Landisville and a loyal 47 year employee of SP Industries. Hector will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife Leonor, his sons Randy, Ronald, Jonathan, and Angel, his daughter-in-law Bianca and son-in-law Jeremy, his two grandchildren Aleixis and Nathanael, his beloved dog Smokey, his mother Julia Bonilla, brothers Sergio, Wilfredo, and Angel Luis, sisters Mercedes, Irma, and Julia, and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Our Lady of Victories Church, 202 N West Blvd, Landisville, NJ 08326. Hector will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Wednesday morning from 9am to 10:45am at the CHURCH. Donations in his memory may be made to the Church.
