Obituary of Dawn Marie Herman

Dawn Herman (nee Sharp) 47, of Vineland, NJ , surrendered to her four year courageous battle with breast cancer, on November 19, 2016, with her loving husband Kirk and her two sons, Kirk, Jr and Karl by her side. Dawn's greatest loves of her life were her husband Kirk and sons Kirk Jr. and Karl. The two happiest days of her life were the birth of her sons and proudest when they graduated with honors from school. After the love of her husband and sons was the devotion she had for friends and family, especially her dearest friend, Susan Ocasio who was her sister at heart. Dawn had a passion for living life to the fullest, particularly on the beach in Ocean City surrounded by friends, family, a good book and the trip to Ireland with her husband. Dawn was born July 10, 1969. She was a lifelong resident of Vineland, NJ, graduating from Vineland High School, Class of 1987. She worked as the Assistant Office Manager/Surgical scheduler for Davies, O'Donnell, Davies and Montero Surgical Associates for 20 plus years. She continued her career with Surgical Associates of Vineland. Dawn is survived by her husband of 23 years (soul mate of 32 years) Kirk Herman, Sr and her sons, Kirk Herman Jr. and Karl Herman; her mother Gloria Sharp; sisters, Tammy Garrison, Sherry Sharp and brother, Herb Sharp (Leanne); nephews and nieces, Michael and Ricky Garrison, Emma and Abby Sharp, Kyle and Cassie Herman, Noah Herman and Gabrielle LaBoy (Goddaughter); goddaugthers, Madelyn Simione and Alanna Ocasio; Inlaws, Ellsworth (Blackie) and Kathleen Herman; sister- in –law, Jill LaBoy (Robert) and brother- in- law, Bruce Herman (Renee). Dawn was predeceased by her loving father Herb Sharp, brother in law and beach buddy, Kris Herman and her devoted companion Grizzly. A celebration of Dawn's life will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, from 6 pm to 9 pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Kirk would like to ask friends to write about how they met Dawn or how Dawn touched their lives and bring them to the service on Friday night. A Mass will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 10:30 am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart RC Church, 1010 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dawn's Light Cancer Fund c/o of Century Saving Bank or sent to Susan Ocasio or Kirk Herman. Dawn was a supporter of Organ donation and it broke her heart that she could no longer donate after her cancer diagnosis.
