Daniel C. Marandino, 76, of Vineland passed away peacefully on December 23, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
Daniel grew up in Landisville, married Carolyn (nee Sasdelli), was a Veteran of the NJ National Guard, and worked at O.I. Schott Glass Co. in Vineland.
Dan was an avid gardner. He enjoyed planting his annual "Jersey Fresh" garden; canning and sharing his harvest. He was an excellent cook who loved entertaining friends and relatives. He also enjoyed painting, drawing, music and hunting.
Dan was an animal lover who had many dogs, cats, birds and other pets over the years.
He especially loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (nee Sasdelli) of 51 years; his son and daughter in law, Douglas and Andi Marandino of Cape May; two grandsons, Marcus and Lucas and his daughter and son in law, Tracy and Brian Dawson of Vineland and one granddaughter McKenzie. Dan is also survived by his aunt Josie Marella.
He will be fondly remembered by his "second family", The staff and clients at Maria's Salon and Lorenzo's Barber Shop. His daily visits will be missed as well as his recipes, kitchen wisdom, weather reports, and his care of all the plants in the shop.
Dan had a large extended family of cousins who will miss him greatly.
Friends and relatives are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm with a 7:30pm service at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the CCSPCA, 1244 N. Delsea Drive Vineland, NJ 08360 or to any charity of your choice.
