Jeffrey T. Weber, 51 of Vineland, died Friday, October 5, 2012 at home. Born in Vineland, NJ he was a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1979 and in 1981 he graduate from Cape/Atlantic Community College with a Fire Science Associates degree.
Jeff was a paid Federal and State Air Craft Crash Rescue Fireman at Atlantic City International Airport from 1981 to 2001 and he was secretary for the IAFF Local S18. He was involved in fire investigations, trainings, safety and was infection control officer at the FAA Technical Center in Pomona as well as Atlantic City Airport. Jeff has won multiple achievements in life saving and Atlantic City International Airport awarded him with the Purple Heart.
He was a volunteer Vineland Fireman with Company #4 from 1979 to 1999.
Jeff was a Varsity Boys Lacrosse Assistant Coach at Vineland High School from 2002 to 2011 and from 2002 through 2009 he was JV and Varsity Manager and Coach of the Vineland High School Ice Hockey Club. He was an avid fisherman, gun enthusiast and worked part-time as a novice gunsmith at Butch's Gun World.
He was predeceased by his father, Daniel H. Weber.
He is survived by wife, Lisa (Bascone) Weber, son, Jeffrey R. Weber and girlfriend Ashley Bings, daughter, Erica Weber, mother, Mary (Vanneman) Weber, brother and sister-in-law, Daniel M. Weber and Janet (Leone), father-in-law, Ronald Bascone and companion Kathy Phillips, sisters and brother-in-laws, Chelle (Bascone) Chammings and Paul, Missy (Bascone) Vicari and Doug, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am at Christ The Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 9pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Thursday morning from 9am to 10:30am at the CHURCH. Memorial contributions may be made to Jeff's children for their Scholarship Fund.
